Thinking of moving to Colorado Springs area?  Its a great idea because this is a great place.  I relocated here before it was rated #1 in 2006 for the Best Big City to Live in America by Money Magazine.  It was a great article and confirmed what many of us already knew...this is a great place to live.

We are located just south of the Denver metropolitan area and you can commute to Denver for employment, entertainment and shopping.  The Colorado Springs area is at the foot of Pikes Peak which was the subject of the song America The Beautiful.  Of course you can go to the top of Pikes Peak via your car or via the famous Cog Railway.  Cog Railway   We are also in close proximity to Pike National Forest for great hiking, biking, trail riding, camping and more.

Our employment is very defense oriented, but includes other types of employment as well.  Some of the major employers include Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force Base, Cheyenne Mountain, Air Force Academy, Schriever Air Force Base, Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics.  Some of the non-defense employers include Focus on the Family, United States Olympic Training Center and USAA to name a few. 

We are blessed with many military installations.  Our economy should take off shortly with the proposed 29,000 new troops and 44,000 new family members coming to the area by 2013.
